This is a little bit late, but for those who don't know yet, Pres. Benigno S. Aquino III had declared August 20, 2012 as a regular holiday. In short, there will be no class and no work on that day. This is inline with the Proclamation No. 455, s. 2012.Aquino declared August 20 as a regular holiday to promote cultural understanding and integration, the entire Filipino nation should have the full opportunity to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in the observance and celebration of Eid’l Fitr, a celebration by the Muslim World for three (3) days after the end of the month of fasting. One more thing, it is in order to bring the religious and cultural significance of the Eid’l Fitr to the fore of national consciousness
This proclamation was declared last August 13, 2012.
